Product Details

Designed to be used with copper compression, one or two hole lugs

After being crimped onto the cables the lugs are bolted together in a pigtail configuration, then insulated and sealed with the 3M motor lead splicing kit

Contains the necessary materials needed to make three splices (except lugs)

Accommodate the following splice configurations- 1000 Volt and less Pigtails (stub) connections, 1000 Volts and less inline connections, 5/8 Kilo-Volt shielded and non-shielded feeders pigtail (stub) connections, 5/8 Kilo-Volt shielded and non-shielded feeders inline connections

Fast and simple installation

No torches or heat source required

No special tools required to install splice

Also require vinyl tape which is not included

Detailed Description: 3M UniShield® Motor lead pigtail splicing kit includes three instruction sheets, three lug covers, three cold shrink tubes, three mastic sealing strips, three rolls Scotch ® stress control tape 2200, three bags of solvent cleaning cloths, three tubes of silicone grease, three rolls Scotch ® linerless rubber splicing tape 130C. Kit is ideal for splicing 10 - 4 AWG sizes motor lead cable wire to incoming 8 - 4 AWG sizes feeder cable wire, including the accommodation of pigtails connections at 5/8 kilo-Volts with shielded feeders.

Kit is ideal to make three splices. It has the abrasion and puncture resistant properties. Maximum bolt length is 1/2 Inch. Lug cover is made using EPDM rubber as a slip-on. UL listed copper lugs and Scotchlok ™ 30000 Series copper compression lugs can be used with kit.
