Designed to be used with copper compression, one-hole lugs

After being crimped onto the cables the lugs are bolted together in a pigtail configuration, then insulated and sealed with the 3M motor lead splicing kit

Makes three splices and contains the necessary materials (except lugs) needed to make three splices

Accommodate the following splice configurations- 1000 Volt and less Pigtails (stub) connections, 1000 Volts and less inline connections, 5/8 Kilo-Volt shielded and non-shielded feeders pigtail (stub) connections, 5/8 Kilo-Volt shielded and non-shielded feeders inline connections

Fast and simple installation

Detailed Description: 3M Motor lead pigtail splicing kit includes instruction sheet, three lug covers, three locking pins, three mastic sealing strips and three tubes of silicone grease. Kit is ideal for splicing 2 AWG - 250 kcmil sizes motor lead cable wire to 1/0 AWG - 250 kcmil sizes incoming feeder cable wire, including the accommodation of pigtails connections at 0 - 1000 Volts. Kit makes three splices. It has the abrasion and puncture resistant properties.

Moisture seal is done using mastic. Maximum bolt length is 1-1/4 inches and lung cover inner diameter is 1.20 inches. Lug cover is made using EPDM rubber as a slip-on. UL listed copper lugs and Scotchlok &trade 30000 series copper compression lugs can be used with kit. Kit is CSA certified.
