Designed to prevent galvanic reactions and enhance conductivity
The connector body has extruded serrations for breaking the anodized finish on photovoltaic modules and frames
The serrations in the wire binding break corrosion on the grounding wire which means that no surface preparation is required for the PV module
The connector simply clamps onto the frame of the solar panel
Detailed Description:
Bridgeport Solar panel grounding connector is made of 6061-T6 extruded aluminum alloy for durability. It features electro-plated tin finishing prevent galvanic reactions and offers resistance to corrosion. It comes with extruded serrations for breaking anodized finish on photovoltaic modules and frames. The serrations in the wire binding break corrosion on the grounding wire, which means that no surface preparation is required for the PV module, clamps onto the frame of the solar panel or ground wire. It is suitable for solar racking and support structures that are 1/4-Inch wide or less. It accommodates aluminum or copper conductor of size 4 - 14 AWG. Lug requires torque of 35 Inch-lb. Lug for solar applications is resistant to outdoor salt spray. Lug has stainless steel hardware and wireway that cuts away oxidation to provide high resistance to corrosion. Connector is UL listed and meets NEMA standards.
Application | "Bridgeport Fittings Copper and Aluminum Conductor Lay-in Lug for Solar Applications. The ALI-SLR is listed for use in bonding solor structures and related electrical equipment that have support frames of 1/4"" width or less. The ALI-SLR offers excellent corrosion resistance with stainless steel hardware and a wireway that cuts away oxidation. Wire Range AL-Cu #4-14 AWG. 35 inch lbs. of Torque recommended." |
