Detailed Description: Ferraz Shawmut Amp-Trap® HSJ Series Class J High-speed fuse operates at a current rating of 80 Amps and voltage rating of 600 VAC/500 VDC. Fuse combines the low I2t of a semiconductor fuse and the branch circuit performance of a Class J UL listed fuse. These fuses have excellent cycling ability for frequent starts/stops without nuisance opening. It finds wide range of application in branch circuits, solid-state relays, phase controllers, control panels, soft-starters, electronic motor controllers and drives. Optimized over-load capability withstands elevated levels of current during electronic motor controller starts. It has an interrupt current rating of 1 - 600 Amps at 600 VAC, 200 kilo-Amps and self certified 300 kilo-Amps of current and 15 - 600 Amps, 100 kilo-Amps at 500 VDC. The HSJ fuse can provide branch circuit protection per NEC requirements, as well as very low I2t for protection of power semiconductors such as diodes, SCR's, GTO's and SSR's. Class J fuse is UL listed, DC tested, CSA certified and meets RoHS compliant standards.
