Detailed Description: Appleton FD Series 3-Gang box is made of malleable iron with zinc electroplated dichromate aluminum polymer enamel ASTM finish. Single cover comes with four mounting lugs and has capacity of 62 cubic inches. It measures 6.880 Inch x 2.690 Inch x 5 Inch. Box is corrosion resistant, weather-proof, rain-tight and dust-tight sealing when used in conjunction with cast gasketed covers. It is suitable for indoor/outdoor use. It provides high tensile strength, ductility and superior resistance to impact/shock. It is ideal for use with threaded metal conduit/IMC. Box features accurately tapped, tapered threads for use with tight/rigid joints, ground continuity.

Box can accommodate wiring devices like switches, receptacles and offers superior service when used in rough conditions. It can be used as pull box for conductors, allows access to conductors for maintenance, allows connections for branch conduit runs and offers openings for making splices. Box supports 1/2 - 1-1/2-Inch conduit cable entry. It has ridge top construction that provides positive fit between gasket, box and cover to seal out moisture. Box can be drilled and tapped on top, bottom, sides. Box is UL listed and meets NEMA standards.
