Appleton 1-Gnag Tumbler switch features enclosures that have external mounting lugs and furnished with internal ground screw. Enclosure of the switch has malleable iron cover/body and aluminum chamber for durability. It has smooth, rounded integral bushing in each hub protects conductor insulation. It measures 3 Inch x 4.690 Inch x 4.630 Inch. Switch is rated at 20 Amps/30 Amps units for use with 120-277 VAC and features surface mount with 3/4 Inch feed-thru hub. It is designed for use in classified areas where ignitable vapors, gases or highly combustible dusts are present. Switch features soft ground mating surfaces assure flame-tight joint between cover and mounting enclosure.
The 2-Pole Switch comes with stainless steel hex head cap screws for attaching cover to mounting enclosure. It features 3/4 Inch sized hub with nylon handle that has close-tolerance threaded stainless steel shaft to meet explosion proof requirements. It is designed to prevent arcing of enclosed switches in ignitable atmospheres during connect and disconnect operation of lighting and light power loads. It has on/off legend marking and front operated actuator. It is designed to install in class I, class II and class III hazardous area. Switch is UL listed and CSA certified.
