Stress control, specially formulated high dielectric constant material minimizes surface stress by more uniformly distributing the electrical field over the entire surface of the insulator

Silicone rubber insulators, EPDM stress control tubes, stress controlling compound and environmental sealing compound are compatible with common solid dielectric insulations, such as polyethylene (PE), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPR)

Detailed Description: 3M 7650-S Series cold shrink QT-III termination kit includes one Hi-K track resistant silicone rubber termination, two Scotch ® mastic sealing strips and one instruction sheet. Kit features skirted insulator that is designed for jacketed concentric neutral and concentric neutral power cables rated at 5 - 25/28 kilo-Volts. Termination has four skirts and supports one cable. It features one-piece design for immediate installation and fit variety of cables. Termination is made of hi dielectric constant material to reduce surface stress. It has maximum installed length of 12.25 Inch.

Termination kit has insulation up to 0.64-1.08 Inch outer diameter. It is compatible with 1 AWG, 1/0 AWG, 2 AWG, 2/0 AWG, 250 kcmil, 3/0 AWG, 300 kcmil, 350 kcmil, 4/0 AWG and 400 kcmil conductors. Termination has a basic insulation level of 150 kilo-Volts. It is designed for outdoor applications. Kit is IEEE approved.
